PurpleBoard ("we", "our", "the app") is a free interactive digital board for teachers and presenters. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Data We Collect

• Account data: Email address and display name when you sign in with Google or email/password (via Firebase Authentication).
• Board layouts: Widget configurations and settings you save are stored in Firebase Firestore, linked to your account.
• Payment data: When purchasing PRO, payment is processed by Paddle. We receive your email address to activate PRO access. We do not store card details.
• Usage data: Google Analytics may collect anonymized usage statistics (page views, session duration).
• No student data: Name Picker names are stored only in your browser's local memory and are never sent to our servers.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To save and sync your board layouts across devices.
• To manage PRO access (Paddle payment verification and expiry tracking).
• To improve the app based on anonymized usage patterns.
• We do not sell your data to third parties.
• We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Third-Party Services

• Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, and hosting. Firebase Privacy Policy

• OpenWeatherMap: Weather data based on your location (only when you use the Weather widget).

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (Firebase session). Google Analytics may set additional cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.

6. Data Retention

Your account and saved layouts are retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us at support@pboard.live.

7. Children's Privacy

PurpleBoard is designed for teachers, not students. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Student names entered in the Name Picker are never transmitted to our servers.

8. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and the right to data portability. Contact us at support@pboard.live for any privacy requests.
